Louis Powderhorn

Born in Churchill, Manitoba and raised in Tadoule Lake. As a Sayisi Dene
(The Southeast People), Louis learned to carve from his uncle who made wooden floats
for his fishing nets.
Louis' authentic soapstone and caribou antler carvings
are based on nature, tradition, and childhood memories of growing up among polar
bears and caribou herds.
